At-risk children and youth served by Peel Children’s Aid Foundation have benefited from the generosity of our corporate partners in many ways – and our corporate partners have benefited in return!

Programs to enrich the lives of abused, neglected and poverty-stricken children and youth and provide hope for their future success exist only through the generosity of our donors, and corporate partners have made all the difference in the Foundation’s ability to provide these life-changing programs. Through employee and customer fundraising events, corporate donations, employee team volunteer time, etc., corporations have increased the opportunities we are able to offer our kids.

Several local, national and international corporations with offices in Peel Region have developed a special relationship with Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, and maximized the impact of their donations of time, talent and treasure, by focusing their financial and volunteer support on a particular program or group of programs that benefit at-risk children and youth in a specific way.

Some of our partnerships include:

  • When Peel Children’s Aid wanted to open its own Medical Clinic because local family doctors were reluctant to provide care for foster children, RBC Insurance provided the donation required to fund the renovation of the Clinic space and purchase all of the examination tables and supplies required to open the Clinic.

  • In the summer of 2007, employees at GE Capital Solutions, already supporters of the Holiday Wishes Program, wanted to do a volunteer project with Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, and decided to focus on back-to-school supplies.  With their financial support, over the past two years GE Capital has donated funds to purchase and fill over 500 backpacks with everything kids returning to school would need, from kindergarten right up through high school.
  • Every year, HBC provides $10,000 in gift cards for the Holiday Wishes Program.  The Foundation uses these gift cards to purchase the most-requested toys for children in need of financial support during the holidays, and we also give them out for children and teens who are in need of winter clothing, bed linens and other essential supplies.
  • In addition to providing financial support for the “Skills for Success” Program, GAP Canada participated in an employment skills workshop for youth under the supervision of Peel Children’s Aid, providing valuable tips on building a resume, interview skills, dress code, etc., that can be used by teens in applying for retail and other jobs.  Feedback from the youth was very positive, and some of them actually used the tips to get part-time jobs almost immediately!
